Dr. Hinyard is The Deputy Director and Associate Professor of the Saint Louis University Center for Health Outcomes Research (SLUCOR). She is also the Assistant Director of Research for the Center for Interprofessional Education and Research at Saint Louis University. Dr. Hinyard received a PhD in Public Health Studies with a concentration in Epidemiology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Her current research interests focus on racial disparities in women with breast cancer and the role of inteprofessional collaborative practice in improving care processes and health outcomes.
This workshop will share a model to prepare faculty to engage in an interprofessional community practicum course featuring multiple stakeholders. Development of faculty advising and facilitation skills is a key component of ensuring students are collaboration – ready to address population health needs within the community.
