Ellen Luebbers, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Medical Education and the Director of Interprofessional Education in the School of Medicine at CWRU. She is the Director of Quality Improvement and Systems Science Education in the Physician Assistant Program. She serves as the Principal Investigator of the ILEAP project and as a faculty advisor for the Student-Run Free Clinic of CWRU. Dr. Luebbers completed a Veterans Affairs (VA) Quality Scholar Fellowship where she focused on the relational and team aspect of improvement work, completed research in interprofessional education and team learning and coached interprofessional resident teams.

Case Western Reserve University’s ILEAP project has provided important insights and strategies to optimize healthcare students’ interprofessional team skills. The workshop presenters will share insights to clinic site readiness, key components of team experiences, and opportunities for student teams to add value to a clinic site.
