Dr. Allison Naber is an Assistant Profession in the University of South Dakota’s Occupational Therapy Department. Her scholarship and teaching interests include interprofessional education, upper extremity rehabilitation, occupational health, and ergonomics. Allison coordinates Level I Fieldwork experiences for students. She is active in the department’s pro bono clinic for volunteer clients, which provides students an opportunity for hands-on service learning. She has a passion for integrating collaborative learning techniques and active learning strategies into her courses, and has participated in numerous workshops through the Centers for Teaching and Learning at the University of South Dakota on these topics.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
This workshop will provide attendees with insight on methods to develop interprofessional education (IPE) curricula through exploration of an effective course model, experience with outcome measures to assess interprofessional collaboration, and tools to increase collaborative engagement among colleagues for successful transformation from engagement in interprofessional education to clinical practice.
