Dr. Liz Harrell is the Program Director for SHOW. SHOW is IP, student run, state licensed clinic with ongoing outreach activities. SHOW has provided health care for over 3,800 underserved individuals since opening in July of 2015 and has exposed over 900 students to interprofessional practice through direct patient care teams, health promotion teams or committee work supporting SHOW. SHOW is a learning laboratory and she is PI for the SHOW Interprofessional Practice Workforce Development Project, Co-PI for the Accelerating Interprofessional Community Based Education and Practice program and SHOW is a pioneer project for the National Center.

The need for increased health professions training in the treatment of substance use disorders has been widely recognized; including interactive didactic, experiential learning opportunities along with addiction specialist role modeling.
