At the 2016 and 2017 Nexus Summit conversation cafes, we considered the “Big Question” of interprofessional clinical learning environments: “How do we help students, trainees, and practitioners gain the competencies to work in new models of care when we are still practicing in traditional models?” Increasingly, we recognize that as health professions students learn about and master the IPEC competencies during their early programs, it is vital that clinical and community sites are optimal interprofessional clinical learning environments to role model best interprofessional practices. Join this café to learn more about interprofessional clinical learning environments and contribute to shaping this topic as the focus of next year’s Summit.
