In Celtic mythology, three magical birds are said to accompany the Goddess Rhiannon. Known as the Birds of Rhiannon, they were known to heal the sick and wounded, awaken the dead, and lull the living to sleep with their sweet song. I composed this tune in honor of my mother for whom I served as a family caregiver for three years while she was recovering, and later died, from cancer. May this tune bring healing to all those who hear its sweet song.
