Bianca Calderon, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Calderon received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degrees from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2003.  She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency in New Jersey and Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in New York.  She enjoys working on interprofessional teams, serving as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Palliative Care at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and more recently at Denver Health in Geriatrics. At Regis University, she developed a palliative care course and contributed to developing an interprofessional end of life simulation.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Attendees will learn about creating, implementing, and evaluating an end-of-life interprofessional simulation by experiencing it. Through role playing, participants will experience the challenges of interprofessional practice. The active learning strategy of debriefing will clarify learning moments.
