As a nurse of over 35 years, Deb has been committed to the learning and development of nursing and clinical teams within healthcare. She holds a BA and MA from Augustana University and PhD from South Dakota State University. She has participated in several novel academic-service partnerships. Deb holds leadership experience in academia, healthcare and community. Deb is Senior Director in Learning and Development at Sanford Health with responsibility for onboarding, continuing development, simulation, and patient and community education.  She serves as an active contributor in the visioning as well as ongoing guidance for the Bridging Health and Home program.
 

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
This interactive workshop explores the possibilities for interprofessional community building using lessons learned from the Bridging Health and Home program. This program intertwines a nurse-led interprofessional care delivery team, complemented by Faith Community Nursing, and evidenced-based self-management programs to improve the ability to age in place for rural older adults.
