Jessica Barreca PT, DPT is the Community Site Coordinator for the Center of Interprofessional Education and Research and an adjunct instructor in the Program for Physical Therapy at Saint Louis University. She has 15+ years of clinical experience working as a pediatric PT working with various team models in different settings including outpatient, early intervention, school systems and administration. Her research interests include IPE faculty development, interprofessional collaborative practice in early childhood, and community-based participatory research.
This workshop will share a model to prepare faculty to engage in an interprofessional community practicum course featuring multiple stakeholders. Development of faculty advising and facilitation skills is a key component of ensuring students are collaboration – ready to address population health needs within the community.
