Julie Johnson, MD is an Associate Professor in the Physician Assistant Studies Program and Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota. Dr. Johnson has practiced Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sanford and LifeScape in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for 17 years. As a rehabilitation physician and Medical Director for Rehabilitation services at LifeScape, Dr. Johnson has had the opportunity to work extensively in an Interprofessional setting. In her current teaching role, Dr. Johnson enjoys working with students at USD and supporting IPE and Collaborative Care education and activities.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
This workshop will provide attendees with insight on methods to develop interprofessional education (IPE) curricula through exploration of an effective course model, experience with outcome measures to assess interprofessional collaboration, and tools to increase collaborative engagement among colleagues for successful transformation from engagement in interprofessional education to clinical practice.
