Dr. Lori Edwards is a nationally certified adult geriatric nurse practitioner and clinical nurse leader. Her many years as a critical care nurse motivated her to move upstream to primary care. She currently works as a nurse practitioner at Washburn University Student Health Center and Pine Ridge Family Health Center. Dr. Edwards also works as an assistant professor at Washburn University in the School of Nursing. She participated on the C2C team as a DNP student with a focus on community assessment.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
The Classroom to Community (C2C) is a National Center Accelerating Interprofessional Community-based Education practice project. Their workshop, an Opportunity to Join in Action is designed to demonstrate strategies and opportunities for leadership and multi-directional mentoring utilizing Community-Based Participatory Research methods and principles of interprofessional communication to co-create meaningful change in their own communities.
