Sandra Andrieu, PhD

Sandra C. Andrieu is Past-President of the American Dental Education Association and participated on the Interprofessional Education Collaborative expert panel that drafted the document, Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Report in 2011. She served as co-director of an IPE elective that, from 2012-2016, enrolled students from across the LSUHSC schools and Xavier University College of Pharmacy. She is a faculty liaison to the Center of Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (CIPECP).  In 2017, the CIPECP launched Team Up, a two-year longitudinal experience integrated within the curricula of all first and second-year students enrolled in all six LSUHSC schools.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Healthy People 2020 has identified 42 core topic areas affecting population health. One of the topic areas is immunization and infectious diseases. Healthy People 2020 immunization objectives include maintaining or increasing vaccination rates for children, adolescents and adults. Traditionally, the medical, nursing, physician assistant and public health professions are affiliated with providing immunizations and related education.
