Dr. Thomas completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Creighton University in 2002 and returned to her alma mater for a Doctorate of Education with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Leadership, graduating in December of 2016. Since her Doctorate in Education, her interest in interprofessional education has been heightened. Research interest lie then in these two areas of clinical education and interprofessional practice. She is an on-site reviewer for the Commission of Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), Chair of the Colorado Clinical Educators Special Interest Group (CE SIG), and recently appointed Director of National Interprofessional Education Consortium (NIPEC) in ACAPT.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Attendees will learn about creating, implementing, and evaluating an end-of-life interprofessional simulation by experiencing it. Through role playing, participants will experience the challenges of interprofessional practice. The active learning strategy of debriefing will clarify learning moments.
