Sue Mattson has a total of 27 years of nursing experience as a registered nurse on a post-coronary care unit then as an acute care nurse practitioner in the both the hospital and ambulatory care settings.  Sue has been teaching in the traditional undergraduate nursing program for 14 years including extensive experience with clinical skills and simulation.  Sue has also been involved in the ISPE (Interprofessional Simulated Patient Experience) organizing students and faculty from several disciplines and two higher learning institutions since 2005.

 

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
This workshop is an interactive opportunity to participate in a live Interprofessional Standardized Patient Experience (ISPE). Audience participants will fulfill the "student" roles in a patient scenario shared during the workshop. The presenters will provide practical information on how to implement meaningful interprofessional practice with a variety of disciplines and share data from the pre- and post-session student surveys.
